Throughout the years Dr. Hubbard has acquired an extensive array of photovoltaic test and measurement equipment for analyzing solar cells. This equipment is state of the art, which positions us to quickly take advantage of new technologies and produce rapid prototypes of novel devices. Dr. Hubbard’s Photovoltaics laboratories encompasses 3 separate laboratories with a combined total of over 5,000 square feet of research space. The three laboratories include the III-V Synthesis Lab, Photovoltaics Characterization Lab and the Optoelectronics Characterization Lab. The labs are equipped with a materials synthesis facility; a photovoltaic characterization facility; a thermal, spectroscopic, and microscopic characterization facility; and a laser lab.
